GHR Accounting Group carries on the accounting practice initially established by Garry Gleeson in the early 1970’s, when Garry, formerly a life insurance agent, decided to provide taxation preparation services to individuals and partnerships.

As the business grew, Garry enlisted the services of Robert ‘Bob’ Gordon to provide further services for companies and trust clients of the practice. Bob’s son David came on board in 1988 and the practice became known as Gleeson & Gordon. Bob decided to continue as a sole practitioner in 1991; in April 1992 Ian Rae was employed with the intention of becoming a partner in the practice. In July 1993 Garry Gleeson retired from the practice.

In July 1996 Brian Hrnjak became a partner and the business was rebranded as Gordon, Hrnjak & Rae. With the acquisition of the accounting practices of Beale, Gaertner & Young and W A Nunn & Co in July 2001, and G C Olsen & Co in September 2002, GHR Group Pty Ltd was established along with the introduction of Bernadette Gore and Barbara Scott into the business as stakeholders. The current entity was established in 2006 to merge the operations of all businesses under a combined banner. Brad Cuss replaced Bernadette Gore in 2010 and Nicholas Delaney replaced David Gordon in 2017 to become our newest Partner.
