Brian is a Certified Practicing Accountant, Registered Tax Agent, ASIC Certified Financial Planner and an accredited specialist in financial planning with CPA Australia. Brian also holds a Class 1 NSW Real Estate License. With over 28 years public practice experience, he joined the firm as a Partner in 1996.
Brian works with businesses and family groups covering issues from business start-ups, mergers and acquisitions, SMSF strategies, portfolio design and management as well as estate planning. He is also experienced in providing mediation and litigation support in commercial, family law and estate matters.
Prior to entering public practice Brian was the chief executive of Pittwater Council immediately before and following the area’s secession from Warringah Council. Brian has maintained an interest in risk, governance and government affairs through his participation on various Audit, Risk & Improvement Committees. He has chaired the ARIC’s of Strathfield, Ku-Ring-Gai and North Sydney Council and been an independent member of the ARIC’s of Manly, Northern Beaches, Willoughby, Mosman, Lane Cove Council as well as the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service and the Newcastle City Council Future Fund Governance Committee. Brian is also a member of the CPA Australia Disciplinary Tribunal Panel.
